type75.jpg (36574 bytes) The GORTON 75 water vent valve for hydronic heating and cooling systems provides the same unmatched performance and dependability that has long been associated with Gorton Valves for steam systems,

Designed to provide fast waterto-air displacement for "Instant Venting," the GORTON 75 combines the proven principle of float operation with a number of unique design advances in float power amplification, Vent valve operation is controlled entirely by hydro-pneumatic actuation providing longer, more dependable valve life by eliminating the need for spring loaded valves, which are known to wear, weaken, break and cause valve failure.

This powerful instant-float operation controls a stainless steel valve stem which, seated against a specially developed, wear-resistant Buna-N "O" Ring, provides a positive, water-tight shut-off.

Extra-large passages in the syphon extractor tube and vent valve give the GORTON 75 extra venting capacity so that it may be installed on any air scoop or similar air eliminator fitting. Large in capacity, but small in size, the GORTON 75 may also be installed on convectors, radiators, in small baseboard radiation enclosures, or other small confined areas at high points on the system.

Only the GORTON 75 offers you a Hydronic Air Vent Valve that provides positive protection against leakage should dirt, sediment, or other impurities in the system prevent the valve from closing. If water enters the ball chamber, the exclusive Gorton SAFE-T-BALL Water Seal floats tightly against an "O" Ring seat. This provides a positive, automatic shut-off that prevents any water from escaping from the system to cause water damage.

Should a fouling of the valve seat occur, the Safe-T-Ball Seal will close and prevent the valve from venting. To put the valve back into operating condition, simply unscrew the Safe-T-Ball cap and manually depress the flush pin a few times quickly, in most cases, clearing the valve seat. Top safety cap gently to loosen the enclosed ball and replace hand tight on the valve.

If the above action does not correct the condition, the entire flush pin and "0" Ring valve assembly may be easily removed and cleaned right on the job after the system is drained to valve level.

Gorton quality-constructed products are backed by a 100-year-old reputation for building the finest Steam Heating Products.
